A edição 2018 do Billboard Music Awards foi realizada neste domingo (20/05) em Las Vegas, Estados Unidos, com apresentação de Kelly Clarkson. Apesar de não estarem presentes, Kendrick Lamar e Ed Sheeran foram os grandes vencedores da noite. Cada um ganhou em seis categorias. Com cinco vitórias, Bruno Mars e Luis Fonsi.
A noite começou com a performance de Ariana Grande com o single "No Tears Left To Cry". A noite também contou com apresentações de Dua Lipa, Shawn Mendes, Khalid e Normani, John Legend, Christina Aguilera e Demi Lovato, Ed Sheeran ? direto da Irlanda, Jennifer Lopez e DJ Khaled, Shawn Mendes e Khalid, Zedd, Maren Morris e Grey, Macklemore e Kesha, Pharrell Williams e Camila Cabello, BTS e Salt-N-Pepa com En Vogue.
Janet Jackson foi a grande homenageada da noite e levou para casa o prêmio ICON, em celebração à contribuição para a indústria musical. Ela fez sua primeira performance televisionada em quase uma década e apresentou as faixas "Nasty" e "If".
